PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the smooth operation for drawing the fabric for papermaking by removing the unsmoothness (for example, projection) at the connecting part between the rope and the present fabric. SOLUTION: The papermaking machine is equipped with a towing rope to be passed through the papermaking machine in order to introduce the present fabric 1 into the papermaking machine, the lead cover 3 that is connected to the front tip of the present fabric, and a connecting tool 4 that is mutually connected to the attaching part 12 provided on the lead cover 3 and to the tip end of the drawing rope. The attaching parts of the drawing rope and the lead cover have flat parts at least at the parts to be connected to the connecting tools and the belt-like parts on the rope drawing side and the conductor side are mutually connected through the flat connecting tools.
