<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-shrinkable label which can not be damaged by impact applied in the case where the label heat-shrunk on a container comes into contact with another label of the same type or the container falls during distribution, and which has the ability to be torn in the direction of the container with hands without providing the label with perforations in order to peel the label from the container for recycling the used container, and therefore eliminates the need for formation of perforations and has excellent productivity, and to provide a labelled container. <P>SOLUTION: The cylindrical heat-shrinkable label attached to the barrel of the cylindrical bottomed container has tear strength in the axial direction of the container which is weaker than that in the circumferential direction of the container.
