摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of improving the activity of catalysts, including photocatalysts, a method of improving the performance of semiconductors, e.g. silicon solar cells, and to provide a method of manufacturing a catalyst having an improved activity or a semiconductor having improved performance and also a method of manufacturing a wet solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: The methods are based on cooling a photocatalyst containing titanium oxide, a semiconductor, e.g. a solar cell, at extremely low temperatures, e.g. the temperature of liquid nitrogen.
