PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain electronic equipment capable of satisfactorily displaying video data received from the outside with high image quality. SOLUTION: A TV tuner capturing unit 123 not only can output video data compression-coded by an MPEG 2 encoder 202 to a PCI bus 20, but also can directly transmit non-compressed digital video data to a high valued engine (HVE) 115. In this case, since the non-compressed digital video data are transmitted to the engine 115 via a video data transmission path 21, the PCI bus 20 is not used.
