PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce main data in an optimum reproduction environment in a data reproducing device and method for performing reproduction processing by reading the main data, a recording medium for recording prescribed environment parameters, the main data and the prescribed environment parameters recorded on the recording medium. SOLUTION: A recording device comprises a reading part 20 for reading the main data and spatial characteristic data from the recording medium 1 for recording prescribed main data and the spatial characteristic data comprising spatial characteristic information in an environment different from an environment reproducing the main data, and a processing part 25 for performing prescribed reproduction processing on the main data on the basis of the spatial characteristic data read in the reading part 20.
