PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device capable of precisely performing base isolation in earthquake of a vending machine or display shelf with a simple structure, and further fall prevention thereof. SOLUTION: This base isolation device 1 is arranged between a setting surface 2 and the bottom of a base isolation object 3 such as a vending machine or shelf, and performs base isolation by inducing a longitudinal movement from the neutral position of the base isolation object 3 in the event of earthquake. This device is composed of two base isolation machines arranged in parallel. Each base isolation machine comprises a base body 10 arranged on the setting surface 2; a receiving body 11 arranged on the bottom side of the base isolation object 3; an inclination inducing body 12 arranged in a position corresponding to the front side of the base isolation object 3 between the base body 10 and the receiving body 11, the inclination inducing body having a lowest part 12c in a position corresponding to the neutral position of the base isolation object 3 and inclined parts 12a and 12b raised at different angles in the front and rear thereof; a flat body 13 arranged in a position corresponding to the rear side of the base isolation object 3 between the base body 10 and the receiving body 11; and rolling bodies 14 arranged between the receiving body 10 and the inclination inducing body 12 and between the receiving body 11 and the flat body 13, respectively.
