PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent (EL) element of which the light utilization efficiency is improved as compared with a conventional EL, a lens sheet to be used for a light source such as the EL element to improve the light utilization efficiency and a display device using the light source and having high luminance. SOLUTION: The lens sheet (11) arranged between a display element and a backlight unit in the display device to transmit beams (31, 32) made incident from the backlight unit and eject the transmitted beams to the display element comprises: a scattering lens (11a) having an effect for scattering incident light in an approximately parallel direction to the lens sheet (11) and a directional lens (11b) having an effect for directing incident light in an approximately vertical direction to the lens sheet (11).
