PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hinder, to the utmost, a molding pressure for a resin coating 4 from being transmitted to a detection part "a" comprising a rotation detection element, etc. SOLUTION: This rotation detection sensor P is made by attaching the rotation detection part "a" to a holder 10, and by resin-coating an opening part 1a in a covered cylindrical casing 1 fitted with the holder 10 and a holder exposure part. A relay terminal 14 is fixed to a support wall 16 through a holder base part 10a and through an air gap part 15, and then connected to a lead piece 12. When molding the resin coating 4, its molding pressure presses the relay terminal 14 by swelling out the base part 10a in the casing 1. Since the relay terminal 14 is fixed, however, to the support wall 16 through the air gap part 15, the support wall 16 resists a pressing force caused by the swelling to hinder the relay terminal 14 from moving. The force is absorbed by the curving, etc. of the relay terminal in the gap part and hindered from being transmitted to the detection part "a".
