PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which registers automatically an image matched to a user's taste without being conscious of the starting screen registration of the camera by a user. SOLUTION: A deciding material matched to the user's taste of the image photographed by the user is registered automatically by determination based on the number of times of reproducing the image and a time, the number of times of enlarging and reproducing the image, the file size of the image, the number of printing sheets of the image and the number of times of transmitting the image, deciding automatically the starting screen, and registering automatically. Moreover, the registering timing of the starting screen is updated automatically at the starting screen based on a criterion by the camera at a starting time, a completing time, a photographing time, a reproducing time, a communication time and a printing time.
