PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of easily confirming the presence of loading of a memory card. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a memory card loading unit, and a protection door for opening/closing the memory card loading unit, the memory card 4 can be loaded to/withdrawn from the loading unit, and the imaging apparatus is characterized in that the imaging apparatus is provided with: an indication member 3 the different regions 3c, 3d of which differ from an outward appearance and the arrangement of which can be changed; and a window 2 through which the indication member 3 can be visually recognized and located to the protection door 1 or a main body 11 of the imaging apparatus, the position of the indication member 3 is changed depending on the presence of loading of the memory card 4 so that the loading presence of the memory card 4 can be discriminated depending on the outward difference of the indication member 3 viewed through the window 2.
