PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure accumulating fuel injector capable of accurately calculating a fuel injection duration, for properly providing an injection quantity of fuel injected and supplied into a combustion chamber from an injector without causing excess and deficiency of the fuel injection quantity. SOLUTION: The fuel injection starting timing B is determined on the basis of an engine speed and an engine load, and common rail internal pressure P2 is detected simultaneously with this fuel injection starting timing B. The fuel injection duration Tdur is calculated on the basis of a detecting value of this common rail internal pressure. Thus, a proper injection quantity is provided by providing the fuel injection duration Tdur corresponding to the common rail internal pressure in the actual fuel injection starting timing B.
