PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepladder with a sliding mechanism and a stopper mechanism for stabilizing the stepladder at a construction site excepting a horizontal place or on staircases or the like. SOLUTION: A sliding groove is formed to a stepladder body 2, and a sliding section 1 can be expanded and contracted. A structure fixing the sliding section is mounted on the stepladder.
