PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition that generates no odor at the time of application, has adhesiveness equivalent to those of conventional solvent systems, and has good hardenability even at a low temperature. SOLUTION: The two-pack type primer composition comprises a main agent that contains polyphenylmethane polyisocyanate as a major component and a hardener that contains as a major component a polyoxyalkylene polyol with a number average molecular weight between 250 and 2,000. With the two-pack type primer composition, a primer with extremely low viscosity can be produced without using any diluent.
