<p>RFID system having a plurality of reader/writers, wherein the interference between the reader/writers can be reduced without any degradation of communication throughput. The plurality of reader/writers (10) transmit/receive radio signals to/from their respectively associated RF tags (30). The reader/writers (10) inform their operation statuses to each other, whereby they can determine the usage statuses of channels for communication with the RF tags (30). If a channel selected by a particular reader/writer (10) is occupied by another reader/writer for a long time, the particular reader/writer (10) selects another channel. If a channel selected by a particular reader/writer (10) is temporarily occupied by another reader/writer, the particular reader/writer (10) waits for a release of that channel.</p> |
