<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus equipped with a display panel with which an electric power to be consumed is reduced at the waiting time etc., for example, in a potable type data terminal unit, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A driver section 2 and a display control section B are mounted on a display module A and an EL display 1 is driven into light emission by an image signal from the display control section B. An image generation section 5 in the display control section B generates an image signal for scroll displaying the still picture indicating the time in a writing state in which the operation such as key input is not performed in a prescribed time. In such a case, the non-display period when the still picture is not displayed on the display panel during the time from the end of the scroll display of the one still picture until the start of the scroll display of the next still picture, is set.
