<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulose ester film that has excellent preservability of cellulose ester film web, causes no foreign matter and excellent productivity, to provide a method for producing the same, a polarizing plate using the cellulose ester film and a liquid crystal display using the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The cellulose ester film comprising fine particles has relation of formula 1.0×10<SP>-6</SP>≤A/B≤1.0×10<SP>-2</SP>when the number of projections having height of twice or more average projection height of film surface is A and the total number of projections of film surface is B. The method for producing the cellulose ester film comprises adding a fine particle-containing liquid to a main dope of a cellulose ester so as to add the total amount of fine particle to be added to a film, then filtering the dope by a filter medium having 0.5-5 μm collected particle diameters for 10-25 sec/100 ml filtration time, casting the filtered main dope of the cellulose ester containing the fine particle-containing liquid and producing a film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
