LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY, POSITIVE ELECTRODE USED IN LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY, AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode suitable to construct a lithium secondary battery having low initial resistance and long life, to provide the manufacturing method of the positive electrode, and to provide the lithium secondary battery equipped with the positive electrode.

SOLUTION: The positive electrode for the lithium secondary battery is equipped with a current collector and an active material layer formed on the current collector. A coating layer containing at least one binder essentially insoluble to an organic solvent is formed on the surface of a positive active material contained in the active material layer. The coating layer preferably contains a conductive material.
