<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the prediction of the life of a fire sensor installed in a radiation-controlled area. <P>SOLUTION: A fire detection device K installed in a radiation-controlled area 2 has a dosimeter 6 (alanine dosimeter) for measuring a dose, in a casing 3 housing a shield member 11 against radiation and the fire sensor 15. A suction fan 5 is connected to the fire sensor 15, a suction opening 10 is formed in the casing 3 in connection with the suction fan 5, and the casing 3 is installed on a floor F of the radiation-controlled area 2. The fire sensor 15, suction fan 5 and dosimeter 6 are unitized on a single board 4, and the board 4 can be pulled out from the casing 3. At the inspection of the fire sensor 15, the alanine dosimeter 6 is removed and a cumulative dose is measured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
