<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a case that user's waiting time resulting from stabilization control is given. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 100, when considering stabilization control time by a WT is effectively set, power source turn-on time considering time TA when the stabilization control is performed to power source turn-on time t1 set by the WT, that is, time t0 preceding to the power source turn-on time t1 set by the WT by as long as processing time TA required for the stabilization control is decided in turning off a power source. The decided time t0 is set in an RTC circuit, and then the power source is turned off. When a power source turn-on command is inputted from the RTC circuit at the time t0, the power source other than that of an operation display part is turned on, and the stabilization control is performed.
