PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein smooth cooperation between moving image data and still image data is not performed between a device, corresponding to the record/reproduction of only a moving picture and a device for recording both a motion picture and a still image, with respect to a recording/reproducing device for recording AV data, in accordance with the motion image recording format. SOLUTION: A device capable of recording both a moving image and a still image is provided with a second reproduction route information for managing the reproduction order of moving images and still images other than a first reproduction route information for managing the reproduction order of moving images. In recording moving images, the moving images are registered in both the reproduction route information. When still images are recorded, the false moving images are registered in the first reproduction route information and the still image data are registered in the second reproduction route information.
