PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a local bend of an optical fiber in a ferrule and the break of the optical fiber due to the hardening of an adhesive in a loose-tube. SOLUTION: An optical connector assembly 1 comprises: a ferrule assembly 19 composed of a ferrule 15 having a blank optical fiber insertion hole 35 and a ferrule supporting member 17 having a coated optical fiber housing hole 43; a housing member 27 on which the ferrule assembly 19 is mounted; an optical fiber 13 with a loose-tube in which an optical fiber 3 is caulked and fixed at a substantially central part of the loose-tube 9 with a caulking member 11 from the outside of the loose tube 9 after inserting the optical fiber 3 into the loose-tube 9 with a gap. The optical fiber 3 is inserted into the coated optical fiber housing hole 43 which is pre-filled with an adhesive 49, a blank optical fiber 5, which is projected from the end of the loose-tube 9, is inserted into the blank optical fiber insertion hole 35, adhered and fixed, and the caulking member 11 is located in the housing member 27.
