PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive power transmitting device capable of realizing the transmission of power in the orthogonal direction in a non-contact state by utilizing magnetic force, and having high versatility and durability. SOLUTION: This power transmitting device comprises a driving disc member 11 on an end part of a driving rotating shaft Ta, a driven disc member 12 on an end part of a driven rotating shaft Ga, a driving-side idling disc member 41 on an end part of a driving-side idling shaft TFa, driven-side idling disc members 42 on end parts of three driven-side idling shafts GFa, and a supporting means for supporting the shafts in such a state that extension lines of shaft axes of the rotating shafts Ta, Ga are orthogonal to each other, and shaft axes of the idling shafts TFa, GFa are also orthogonal to each other. Outer peripheral conical faces 11m, 12m, 41m, 42m are opposite to each other in a non-contact state, and relatively rotated by attracting force or repulsive force in accordance with magnetic poles buried therein to transmit the torque, and simultaneously the magnetic force as bending stress is evenly acted on each other to be canceled.
