摘要 The invention relates to a mechanism serving for the immediate evacuation of people from buildings in case of fire or other dangerous situations in short time, in a safe and reliable way and with no need of special training since this mechanism is liable to be used by everybody (fig.1). It is composed of the inclining supporting arm 1 whereon the little wagon 2 retained by the traction spring 3 is adapted and equipped with a rev reducer 4 on the shaft of which there are adapted the reel 6 with wire rope of necessary length wound around it, and the spring 7 ensuring the return of same reel to its initial position. The invented escape mechanism may be placed on roofs, balconies, windows and wherever immediate descending from high-rise edifices is required. The person evacuating the building fastens the belt suspended from the hook 10 of the wire rope around his body the load of which urges the mechanism to slide outwards and keep the body of the user, while descending, at one-meter awayfrom the building. Descending starts automatically at pre-selected speed, which -due to the specific construction of the mechanism- is gradually reduced until the user steps on the ground. In the sequel and after the user of the mechanism is freed from the belt 9, the wire rope 10 is newly ascending at controlled speed to receive from the reception area other persons aspiring to escape.
