<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide real-time estimation technology for dynamic crowd density based on image processing for caution and prevention of generation of a crowd accident in a store, various kinds of event sites or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In this real-time estimation method for dynamic crowd density and crowd accident prevention system, so as to grasp a congestion situation in real time to contribute to crowd control, the number of persons is not accurately counted by closely watching the individual person, but a property as a crowd is characterized into a moving lump or a lump having a different background and different brightness, rigidity is not pursued, and simplification is performed as thoroughly as possible to a degree not impairing practicality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
