<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image on the label surface of an optical disk by utilizing the laser beam of an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate layer 24, a visible light characteristic change layer 18, and a protective layer 20 are sequentially deposited on a reflection layer 16 of the optical disk 10. The visible light characteristic change layer 18 comprises a photosensitive material, a heat-sensitive material, and the like. The optical disk 10 is set to a turntable 54 in the optical disk device 48 by allowing the label surface to face down, the laser beam 67 is applied from an optical pickup 66 to the visible light characteristic change layer 18, and an image is formed on the visible light characteristic change layer 18. The intermediate layer 24 is made of a translucent light scattering layer having light-scattering characteristics, thus enabling the formed image to be seen easily. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
