<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a failure diagnostic apparatus for fuel cells capable of balancing a failure detection capability and the avoidance of an erroneous diagnosis. <P>SOLUTION: The failure diagnostic apparatus for fuel cells comprises a voltage detection means 15 that detects a battery voltage with respect to each unit cell 1 or each battery pack connected in series with a plurality of unit cells 1, a fuel gas flow rate adjusting means 12 that adjusts a flow rate of a reactant gas which is energized to a fuel cell 10, and an oxidant gas flow rate adjusting means 14. A judging value setting means (S8) sets a detection threshold of a voltage variation caused when changing a flow rate of a reactant gas from a predetermined value Q<SB>1</SB>to Q<SB>2</SB>in response to a temperature detection means 16 as a judging value Cj<SB>a</SB>. Further a diagnosis means (S9) performs a failure diagnosis by comparing a detection value ΔV<SB>a</SB>of a voltage variation caused when changing a flow rate of a reactant gas with the judging values Cj<SB>a</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
