摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling the flow rate of exhaust gas to be made constant from the center axis in a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas to the periphery in the catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas 1 carries a catalyst on a carrier 2 of which the downstream end takes a convex shape toward the downstream side. Since the resistance to exhaust gas becomes lower from the center axis of the carrier 2 toward the peripheral side, the increase ratio of the flow rate of exhaust gas becomes larger enabling the flow rate of exhaust gas to be made constant.
