PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can project an image as a virtually expanded image by using one image display unit on user's both eyes, can reduce the number of parts, and can attain the miniaturization of the device and the reduction of a component cost. SOLUTION: The display device 1 includes the image display unit 14; an optical image separator 18 which is arranged on the front surface of the image display unit 14 to divide the image of the image display unit 14 into two identical images; first and second image transfer units 15, 16 made of square pillared prisms arranged at both sides of the optical image separator 18, to internally reflect each image separated in the optical image separator 18 and transmit the respective images; and first and second image enlarging units 29, 30 arranged to the front surfaces of the first and second emitting surfaces 22, 28 of the first and second image transfer units 15, 16 to expand as virtual images the images which are outputted from the first and second image transfer units 15, 16.
