PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation mechanism of a switching device where influence of friction or the like in a quad joint link part is small. SOLUTION: This operation mechanism of a switching device is provided with: a tripping link mounted to a drive shaft; a guide link mounted to the tripping link with a closing spring arranged in its periphery; a closing link connected to a long hole part of the guide link and mounted to a first fixed shaft; a connection link connected to a connection part between the guide link and the closing link; an output lever connected to the connection link and mounted to a second fixed shaft; and a tripping latch engageable with the tripping link. When the closing link is energized to engage the closing link with a closing latch, a first quad joint link is formed with the tripping link, the guide link and the closing link; and, in the engagement state between the tripping link and the tripping latch, a second quad link is formed with the closing link, the connection link and the output lever in addition to the first quad joint link.
