PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device assuring a good layout performance and good feeling of operation. SOLUTION: The motor-driven power steering device works with a motor 5 to drive a rack shaft 4. The motor 5 has a ring-shaped stator fixed to a housing and a rotor 13 installed rotatably inside the stator.
