PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that can perform display with good white balance and enables an observer to view the display with the same luminosity factor for respective colors. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 has a plurality of light sources 14 arranged nearby one end surface of a light guide plate 13. A light diffusion plate 12 is arranged on the main surface of the light guide plate 13 on the side of a liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display panel 11 is arranged above the light diffusion plate 12. The liquid crystal display device 1 has a drive control part 15 which controls display of the liquid crystal display panel 11, a light source control part 16 which controls light emission of the plurality of light sources 14, a synchronization part 17 which synchronizes the display of the liquid crystal panel 11 and the light emission of the plurality of light sources 14 with each other, a pulse generation part 18 which generates pulses for driving the liquid crystal display panel 11 and the plurality of light sources 14, and a correction part 19 which corrects control parameters of the drive control part 15 and light source control part 16.
