PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus wherein paper jamming is prevented, and an ejected recording paper is also prevented from being wavy. SOLUTION: A multi-functioned machine 1 is provided with: a paper size prescribing part 111 for prescribing at least a paper size of a recording paper; a transporting speed setting part 112 for setting a transporting speed of a fixing roller in the transfer device side and that of an eject roller in the discharge port side; a fixing roller driving part 1311 for driving the fixing roller at the transporting speed of the fixing roller which is set by the transporting speed setting part 112; and an eject roller driving part 1312 for driving the eject roller at the transporting speed of the eject roller which is set by the transporting speed setting part 112. The transporting speed setting part 112 makes the transporting speed of the fixing roller higher than that of the eject roller and sets a speed difference between the transporting speed of the fixing roller and that of the eject roller in accordance with the paper size of the recording paper which is prescribed by the paper size prescribing part 111.
