PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor and time required for regulation of a functional pattern of a metal mask and also to reduce the manufacturing cost of the metal mask. SOLUTION: An elastic area 4 is provided along the outer periphery of the functional pattern 3 of the metal mask 1. In this constitution, the position and shape of the functional pattern 3 are regulated by pulling the functional pattern 3 by pressing a prescribed portion of the elastic area 4 by an elastic deformation giving means 7. Thereby the labor and time required for regulation of the functional pattern of the metal mask are reduced and also the manufacturing cost of the metal mask 1 can be reduced.
