<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and compact air conditioner capable of improving performance as an air conditioner by securing a wide effective heat exchange area in a heat exchanger in regard to an air conditioner comprised by arranging a blower having an air inlet in a back face side of a heat exchanger in a casing. <P>SOLUTION: Air sucked into the casing 11 from a suction opening 12 of a front face of the casing 11 on the basis of rotary driving of the centrifugal blower 15 (a blade part 18) passes through the heat exchanger 14 in the casing 11, and temperature control (heating or cooling) is carried out at this time. Then, when the air is blown out from a back face side of the heat exchanger 14, it is guided in a center direction of the air inlet 15a of the centrifugal blower 15 by an air guide 25 wherein a direction of its air blowout flow comprises a flared shape. By this, the air blowout flow flows into the air inlet 15a of the centrifugal blower 15 from a back face portion of the heat exchanger 14 which will be wider than the air inlet 15a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
