<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator capable of easily and surely sterilizing and destroying bacteria in a whole rotor chamber and capable of determining an origin position of the rotor. <P>SOLUTION: A rotor chamber and a cover are separated by providing a seal part between the rotor chamber and the cover in which a rotational driving mechanism or the like are stored. Thus, a high temperature and high pressure steam and various gases used for sterilizing and destroying bacteria can surely be prevented from flowing into the cover and the rotational driving mechanism or the like can be prevented from deterioration. By providing a positioning sensor at the bottom of a main spindle, the origin position of the rotor is able to be determined and a device for cell culture or the like are easily automated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
