PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which enlarges an original image after the quality of the input original image is improved. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 2 sequentially extracts an image block of 4×4 size from an input image, and extracts a pixel for constituting 2×2 jaggies, the projection point, or an isolated point as a deteriorated pixel from the extracted image block. Then, the image processing apparatus 2 corrects the deteriorated pixel by replacing the extracted deteriorated pixel with a pixel value having the highest frequency of occurrence in the pixel group existing in the periphery of the deteriorated pixel, and enlarges the image corrected from the deteriorated pixel by a high image quality magnification algorithm.
