PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic transducer, a projector system, and a sound wave radiation direction control method capable of automatically detecting a position of a reflection plate in the case that the reflection plate for an ultrasonic acoustic signal is installed to part of a video image projection face of a screen or a wall or the like or in the vicinity of them in an ultrasonic speaker system. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic transducer 20 emits an ultrasonic acoustic signal to scan the surface of the screen 2. Further, reflection signals from the reflection plates 3, 4 receiving the ultrasonic acoustic signal emitted from the ultrasonic transducer 20 are detected and a sound pressure profile of the reflected waves is generated on the basis of the reflection signal. Then the positions of the reflection plates 3, 4 are confirmed on the basis of the sound pressure profile, and the emission direction of the ultrasonic acoustic signal outputted from the ultrasonic transducer 20 is matched in the directions of the reflection plates 3, 4.
