PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-fit pin capable of preventing contact failure caused by corrosion or vibration of a contact surface while keeping resistance against thermal stress; and to provide a joint method of a press-fit pin and an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: In this press-fit pin 5, its body part 52 is pressed in a through-hole 61 provided for a circuit board 6. A cavity part is formed in the body part 52 and the cavity part is filled with a conductive fusible element 53. The press-fit pin 5 is pressed in the through-hole 61 of the circuit board 6, and the conductive fusible body 53 is melted to leak it to a gap between the press-fit pin 5 and the through-hole 61 and solidified again to joint both of them to each other.
