PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction container wherein the interval between bonding surfaces of a base and a cover plate is completely buried with an adhesive layer without protrusion of the adhesive into a groove on the base when bonding the base to the cover plate, concerning the reaction container wherein the cover plate is fixed adhesively to the base having the groove. SOLUTION: This container has the plate-shaped base 1 having the groove 3 formed in the recessed state on one side 1a, and the cover plate 2 to be fixed adhesively to the base 1 in order to block the open face of the groove 3. The base and the cover plate 2 are fixed together adhesively through a double-sided adhesive sheet 6. An open part 9 agreeing with a formation pattern of the groove 3 is formed beforehand on the double-sided adhesive sheet 6. The double-sided adhesive sheet 6 includes a base material sheet 7 formed from a smooth plastic sheet having excellent chemical resistance, and adhesive layers 8, 8 formed in the laminated state on both surfaces of the base material sheet 7. A space between the open fringe of the groove 3 and the cover plate 2 is blocked by the inner peripheral wall surface of the open part 9 in the state where the cover plate 2 is bonded and fixed to the base 1.
