摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simultaneously producing two or more kinds of spherical silica-based mesoporous bodies with different particle diameters. SOLUTION: In the method for producing two or more kinds of spherical silica-based mesoporous bodies with different particle diameters comprising: a first stage where a silica raw material and a surfactant are mixed in a solvent to obtain a porous precursor particles in which the surfactant is introduced into the silica raw material; and a second stage where the surfactant comprised in the porous precursor particles is removed to obtain a spherical silica-based mesoporous body, as the surfactant, a quarternary ammonium salt having an 8 to 26C long chain alkyl radical is used, and, any additional component selected from the group consisting of a silica raw material, a water-soluble polymer solution and a polar solvent having dielectric constant of≥33 is added at an addition time t satisfying the conditions represented by the inequality (1): T<SB>1</SB><t<T<SB>2</SB>[wherein, T<SB>1</SB>is precipitation starting time; T<SB>2</SB>is reaction finishing time, and t is the addition time].
