PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely improve durability of a bead part in a pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: An internal layer side chafer 20 and an external layer side chafer 22 are disposed along an outside surface (opposite side surface to a bead core 14) of a carcass ply 16. Compression deformation can be suppressed forcibly restraining the flow of rubber 24 toward the outside in the radial direction, and the transmission of the shearing strain to the fold back end 16BE can be reduced by setting the angle relative to the tire circumferential direction of the cord within 70 to 110°for the external layer side chafer 22, and disposing the outer end 22B on the inner side in the tire radial direction than the fold back end 16BE of the carcass ply 16. Large effect is brought to the deformation of the pneumatic tire 10 itself after deterioration with age, and the suppression of the shearing strain of the fold back end 16BE to be able to improve the durability of the bead part 12.
