PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a steel rod from leaving in the natural ground, by consolidating the natural ground of a cutting face, in tunnel work. SOLUTION: This steel hole boring and consolidation material injection rod 1 is driven in the natural ground. A steel tip part 4 penetratingly provided with a plurality of injection holes 5, is separably connected to one end part of a pipe-shaped steel rod body part 2. This hole boring and consolidation material injection rod 1 is driven in the substantially same direction as the tunnel excavating direction in the natural ground desired to be consolidated. The rod body part 2 is extracted from the natural ground while leaving only the tip part 4 as it is in the natural ground, and a consolidation material is injected into the tip part 4, and is delivered from the injection holes 5, to thereby consolidate the natural ground around the tip part 4.
