PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purifier for deodorizing and disinfecting odors, viruses and molds, and the like, stuck to a wall surface or a curtain, or the like, inside a room without the need of troubling the hands of a user. SOLUTION: This purifier is provided with a discharge electrode 2, a counter electrode 3, a high voltage applying means 4 for applying a high voltage between the electrodes, and a water generating means 5 for generating water without water supply to the discharge electrode 2 and/or the counter electrode 3. Without troubling the hands of the user, the radicals and ions, or the like, of a long service life and high oxidizing power and fine water particles containing them are generated and discharged to the discharge area downstream, and sterilization, deodorization and harmful substance removal are performed in an area where they are discharged.
