PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat structure capable of avoiding damage such as messy damage on a hood thereon, and to provide a fishing rod furnished with the structure. SOLUTION: The reel seat structure has the following construction: There is provided an elastically deformable decorative cover 10 externally engaged and fitted on a part ranging from the external surface to reel leg setup surface of the stationary hood 6 on the reel seat 5. The decorative cover 10 is provided with a hole 10C threadable with a reel leg to be inserted into the stationary hood 6. The butt side portion of the hole 10C is provided with a notch 10d.
