Disclosed is a lighting device for a receptacle that can be opened and closed, e.g. a box, chest, bag, and similar. Said lighting device comprises a lighting element (2) that can be fixed inside the receptacle and is provided with or coupled to a power supply apparatus (4), and a switch element (6), e.g. a reed contact, which cooperates with an actuating element (8), e.g. a magnet, and is disposed on an openable and closable part in the area of the opening of the receptacle that is to be lit. The switch element (6) that is coupled to the lighting element (2) cooperates with the actuating element in a contactless manner while the switch element (6) is switched on and off such that a lighting device can be created which is easy to produce and operates reliably. |
