<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance cannula capable of varying the diameter of a lumen so that a fluid can flow at a high speed through the lumen. <P>SOLUTION: The cannula 6 is provided with a cannula body 4 that has a proximal end 1, a distal end 3, and a lumen 5 having a diameter and extending between the proximal and distal ends. When the cannula contains a substance, it allows the diameter of the lumen to be varied.
