<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and image forming method in which a document can be delivered by a document delivery device only by causing a user of a client PC to designate a delivery instruction description, and delivery processing is realized to recycle the delivery instruction description used in common regardless of a delivery type. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparats includes a delivery instruction receiving part for receiving a delivery instruction instructing a delivery from a request originator, and a delivering part for delivering data indicated by a delivery instruction description in accordance with the delivery instruction indicated by the delivery instruction by a delivery type indicated by the deliver instruction description.
