<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member for a heat-resistant apparel material, hardly causing burn or the like by the melting of a polymer when treating a high-temperature article, having high-degree hardly-melting properties of being hardly bored by the contact with spark or the high-temperature article, and also providing comfort when being worn. <P>SOLUTION: The member for the heat-resistant apparel material comprises a fiber structure including a polysulfone fiber and passes the A grade test by JIS A-1323. The quantity of the heat of fusion of the polysulfone fiber is ≥0 J/g and ≤15 J/g, and satisfies the following items: (1) the content of the polysulfone fiber included in the fiber structure is ≥30 wt.% and ≤100 wt.%; (2) the limited oxygen index (LOI value) of the fiber structure, measured based on JIS K-7201 is ≥22 and ≤100; (3) the difference (▵MR=MR2-MR1) of moisture absorptions between the moisture absorption (MR2) of the fiber structure in the atmosphere of 30°C temperature and 90% humidity, and the moisture absorption in the atmosphere of 20°C temperature and 65% humidity is ≥2 wt.% and ≤10 wt.%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
