PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display image data on a display device in a proper form. SOLUTION: A screen of an LCD has a first resolution (1024×768). Image information 101A has a second resolution (720×480). The image information 101A includes information 101B for viewers and an overscan area surrounding this information. Graphics information 102A has the same second resolution as the image information. The graphics information 102A is reduced to a third resolution (700×400). The graphics information 102B is subjected to alpha blending processing to the image information 101A. The image information is enlarged at a ratio for enlargement from the third resolution to the first resolution.
