PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a cylinder bore and the impression to a cylinder head or the like caused by concentration of load, and to achieve superior sealing performance. SOLUTION: This cylinder head gasket 1 is composed of first and second gasket bases 11, 12 held by the cylinder head and a cylinder block, and first and second sub-plates 13, 14 held by the first and second gasket bases, the first sub-plate has a thick part 13a formed by being folded and bent by hemming work and surrounding the cylinder bore, and a thin part 13b positioned at an outer periphery of the thick part, and further the second sub-plate is mounted in a state of surrounding an outer side of the first sub-plate, and has a thickness thinner than the thin part.
